As part of their ongoing commitment to providing secure access to our library’s digital resources, OverDrive will soon require all users to sign in using their password in addition to their library card number. This will apply when signing in to Libby or Kanopy starting October 1st.
Here’s what to expect:
In Libby, you will get a prompt to verify your card and will need to enter your library card password. Passwords for FCPL library cards default to the last name listed on your account.
In Kanopy, you will see an “Action required” message under the My Libraries tab and will need to update your credentials in Kanopy. Again, the required password is your last name.
Once verified, this information will only need to be reentered should you log out or if your card number or last name are updated.
